Hey all!
Warning: SUPER Long Post
Firstly I like to wish my Muslim friends (that’s YOU!), Selamat Berpuasa!
Please do invite me to of off you buka puasa do ok?
So, what have Team KIDCHAN been up to?
Well, we were blessed with an extremely tight schedule for the past two week.
So, here are some of the wedding highlights (images later, k?):
September 30, 2006 – Dexter & Estee , Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel
Estee
I saw many familiar faces as Estee was my high school junior from Sri Cempaka days.
Congratulations! Dexter & Estee, you are finally married (they confirmed their booking more than a year ago )!
October 1, 2006- Keith & Fiorella , Four Seasons Langkawi
Who doesn't want to be married here?
YES ! We are in almost paradise again (hehe….)!
The wedding ceremony was held at one of my favorite spot in the country- the beach of Four Season’s Rhu Bar. The reception for this Hong Kong couple ended with a smashing mini concert by the handsome groom and his groomsmen. The bride and her Chee Mui (sisters) was obviously delighted.
October 2, 2006 – Pre-Wedding Photo shoot of Amy & Lim , Four Seasons Langkawi
Amy & Lim had their Pre-wedding taken by Voon at the Four Seasons. They took advantage of our special Local Pricing for Destination's Pre-Wedding! Promotion.
I also like to thank Amy & Lim who took our family to Ikan- Ikan Reastaurant for a splendid feast of Malay food and architecture overlooking the Andaman Sea.
I took the opportunity to stay in house an extra day and flew Shirlyn & Faith to be with me. WOW! That little girl can run?

Boy was I surprise when my family and I was welcomed by the haze when we landed in Kuala Lumpur. I think is about time Malaysia exert some international pressure on our dear neighbors, so that we don’t have to suffocate year after year!
Worst of all, they must think we are idiots to put up with that lame excuses- YEAR AFTER YEAR. Now that is out of my suffocated chest, let me continue talking about what I am good at – Weddings!
Oh yah! Talking about politics, am looking forward to photograph the wedding of a local heavyweight politician later this month. To be continued…..
October 6, 2006- Kelvin & Mellissa , Primula Park Royal & Ciao Ristorante

Voon & Tan was in the Primula Park Royal Beach Resort, Terengganu for the wedding Kelvin & Mellissa. That complete’s Kelvin & Melissa’s Trilogy with Kid Chan Studio. We also photographed their pre-wedding at Avillion Port Dickson and their Kuala Lumpur do in Ciao Ristorante. Btw, if you have seen our the couple in our Pre-Wedding at Avillion promotion material-that’s Kelvin & Mellissa.

October 7, 2006 - Kenny & Mei Lone Pine Resorts , Penang
final touches
I was fortunate enough to return to the exotic Lone Pine Resort, Penang for the wedding of Dellians- Kenny & Mei. The wedding was blessed with amazing weather.

As the sun ray beamed through the tall rugged pine trees, it was an great sight to behold. Although it was a day trip for me, I manage to squeeze in a nice 30 minutes foot massage?
October 7, 2006 - Sean & Catherine , Cilantro , Micasa Hotel
On the same day Senior Photographer Wong also covered a very nice & intimate wedding of Sean & Catherine at the Cilantro. The wedding planner – I Do Weddings , did a splendid job for the gorgeous couple. The set up was pretty and match by amazing food.
October 8, 2006 - Beatrice -& Jason , Courtyard Garden , Damansara Heights

Wong was also lucky enough to photographed another intimate wedding of Beatrice & Jason at the courtyard garden.Beatrice is the pretty little sister ,who is not so little anymore of former KC Brides – Lynette Lacheta.
October 8, 2006 –Lovely SMS from Nina Daing & Adam
Thank you so much for such beautiful work! They went beyond my expectations, and trust me, with you, my expectations was exceptionally high! J Thank to the team aye and love to Shirlyn!
October 14, 2006 - Benjamin Low & Hong Ju Khee , Cheras Baptist Church & Westin Hotel , KL
The team Kid, Wong & Tan was very privilege to be entrusted by popular Broadcast Journalist, producer and presenter Hong Ju Khee and her affable other half Ben for their wedding.
It was great to see many of the Pre-Wedding images taken at Kid Chan Studio was incorporated into the wedding. They was the invitation cards, backdrops, slide show and also video.

October 14, 2006 – Andrew & Queenie
Jeff & Jason documented this grand wedding at the Sunway Resort Hotel. I was pleasantly surprise when I drop in at the end of the wedding. I only then realized that I have so many common friends with the bride and groom from our Perth days. Time for a quick Friendster check…..
October 14, 2006 – Mei & Kenny
Voon gets to have authentic Penang Char Kuay Teow and amazing Chinese pancakes at Pulau tikus for this one. This is the second half of Mei & Kenny’s reception at the Bayview Beach Resort , Penang
Ok. I think that’s about it. I am already squinting.
OH YAH! About the wedding that I am looking forward to? Yup, it is the wedding of Assistant Minister YB Larry Sng and May Ting as featured on PAGE 2 of The Star today. Read the feature HERE!
I shall not be lazy and post the rest in separate post, instead of one long post.

Cukur Jambul - One of my favourite events!

Cukur Jambul -based on a lose translation from Wikipedia-courtesy of yours truly, Cukur Jambul is a Malay Traditional rites 40 dates after the birth of a newborn. It is not done any earlier, because mummy would still be in confinement.
It is one of the events that i really like to cover. I will be featuring two from my past collection.
The following is Cukur Jambul of Allegra Aisya the daugther of Azmil Saleh & Nadia Aziz that was perform sometime earlier this year.
The event was held at the residence of corporate leader Tan Sri Saleh Sulong & Puan Sri Akmal Abdul Salam, the paternal grandparents of Allegra.
The Aqiqah Ceremony was grace by Her Majesty the Queen Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid

PROCTER & Gamble Malaysia (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (P&G) memperkenalkan pisau cukur terbarunya, Gillette Mach3 Turbo Champion dalam usaha meluaskan pilihan kepada pelanggannya.
Penolong Pengurus Pemasaran Negara P&G, Nicholas Khor, berkata pisau cukur dengan tiga mata pisau itu didatangkan dengan corak garang dan warna menyerlah, sesuai dengan sasarannya iaitu golongan muda.
“Pisau cukur tiga mata terbaru yang menggunakan teknologi termaju dan direka khusus untuk lelaki yang sentiasa mahukan sesuatu yang terbaik itu disasarkan kepada generasi muda yang mementingkan penjagaan diri,” katanya pada pelancaran Gillette Mach3 Turbo Champion di Petaling Jaya, semalam.
Majlis pelancaran bertemakan sukan bermotor ‘Uji Pandu Jaguh Ini (Gillette)’, itu menampilkan dua selebriti tanah air iaitu Kid Chan dan pelakon serta model, Jehan Miskin.
Bagi memeriahkan program promosi Gillette Mach3 Turbo Champion, P&G turut menganjurkan peraduan mulai 25 September ini.
Menerusi peraduan itu, pemenang membawa pulang hadiah lumayan iaitu telefon bimbit Motorola RAZR V3 setiap hari selama tiga minggu peraduan itu dilangsungkan.
Orang ramai hanya perlu mendaftar menerusi laman web www.champion.com.my dan menjadi pendengar Radio Hit FM.
Juruhebah bertugas akan menelefon peserta dan mereka yang bertuah perlu menyambut panggilan itu dengan kata-kata ‘Am I the Champion’, sekali gus melayakkan mereka mendapat hadiah yang ditawarkan.
